Urban Transformation through Sustainable Architecture: Groundbreaking for the Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Headquarters
On May 21, 2026, construction officially began in Linz on the new headquarters of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich. The timber-hybrid building will become the centerpiece of the existing RLB OÖ campus. Completion is scheduled for 2029.
The new structure provides an inspiring work environment for about 1,000 employees. Featuring transparency, openness, authentic materials and green islands, it is set to transform the bank campus and its surroundings into a sustainable urban neighborhood.
The new headquarters embodies Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ’s commitment to opening up to the surrounding neighborhood and wider urban society. On the campus, it acts as a central connector that interlinks not only RLB OÖ’s existing buildings, but also the newly created public cityscape.
RLB OÖ CEO Reinhard Schwendtbauer:
"We’re not building on a blank slate, but enhancing an existing urban environment — with respect for its surroundings, added value for the neighborhood, and a clear focus on sustainability."
