A New Chapter in an Historic Cityscape: Foundation stone laid for NO6 office building
Today marks the construction start of the new NO6 office building at Berlin’s Nollendorfplatz, with completion expected in 2027. Located at the vibrant intersection adjacent to the listed Metropol building, completed in 1906, the new build’s architecture echoes and reimagines the distinct curvature of the historic theater façade in a contemporary way. Its flexible multi-tenant use adds a new dynamic to this place imbued with tradition while enlivening its surroundings. The T-shaped structure extends over six floors, tapering upwards on the rear side such that no two floors are the same. The street-facing façade features concave floor-to-ceiling windows that define the building’s striking design language and open intriguing views across the square.
