Intelligent performance

The building envelope’s function includes much more than just providing protection from the elements. It is a key component of the energy concept, and its design contributes significantly to the identity of the building. 

Construction and material selection play a crucial role in the interplay  between design and performance. We evaluate the appropriate use of high- and low-tech options as well as traditional and innovative materials. We use 3D-based analytics to determine how internal and external parameters affect buildings. This approach enables us to develop custom-fit façade systems for each project, which are simulated, tested, and optimized in the corresponding  environment.

We work with partners from industry, academia, and education to conduct research into innovative materials and sustainable façade systems.
