Robert Koch Institute in Le Monde

Isabelle Regnier of Le Monde toured the HENN-designed Robert Koch Institute in Berlin. The RKI contains a high-security Biosafety Level 4 laboratory, requiring the highest level of security precautions. Regnier writes, "Such a specification, one suspects, leaves no room to maneuver for architects. But we must recognize them for having been able to integrate this war machine into an elegant civilian architecture, and even for having done so with a certain finesse."
