Maximizing value
Costs, deadlines, and quality are the determining factors of any project. Quantity Surveying (QS) forms part of all work phases and considers itself to be an integral part of the project team. Our QS specialists are responsible for the entire cost and schedule management as well as the tendering and award process. Only the smooth interplay of these processes will enable successful project completion – on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed-upon quality standard.
Costing
Costing aims to maximize value for the client within the defined budget and to invoice the project within the agreed cost framework. Reflecting the design in costs is an independent way of looking at the project and thus an essential basis for decision-making in the design process.
It is just as important to always map costs transparently while integrating them into the 5D model as it is to coordinate them continuously and thoroughly with clients and users. A cost database developed over many years enables us to conduct benchmarking exercises based on completed projects to achieve cost reliability.
Scheduling
Scheduling simulates the project workflow, highlights interactions between work phases, and ensures compliance with the agreed timeframe.
We define project milestones for all contract settings together with the client and the users and map them in the 3D data model. For a realistic construction process, we integrate the lean construction method into our construction management system.
Tendering and award
Tendering and awarding construction contracts defines the qualitative, technical, commercial, and contractual basis for completing a building. Whether individual or package awards or functional RFPs: We work closely with the client to devise the right strategy, aided by tools such as the German Uniform Construction Specifications and our proprietary specifications database.
