Christian Bechtle studied at TU Berlin and the Istituto Universitario Architettura Venezia (IUAV) in Venice. Prior to joining HENN in 1992, Christian Bechtle worked in Berlin, Munich and London. In 2008 he was made Partner and is Head of Business Development.
Marcus Fissan studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig where he received his diploma in 1995. Before joining HENN, Marcus Fissan worked on various projects, including his time with Herzog + Partner (Munich) in 1998. In 2005 Marcus Fissan joined HENN and was made partner in 2011.
Hans Funk studied architecture at the University of Applied Science Aachen in Germany, where he received his Diploma in 1995. Prior to HENN he worked for architects such as Böhm in Cologne and Vasconi in Paris. Hans Funk is working for HENN in Germany and China and became Partner in 2017.
After studying architecture at Regensburg University of Applied Sciences and his graduation in 1997 Joachim Grund worked for architecture offices in Nuremberg, Munich and Rotterdam and has outstanding competencies particularly in the field of renovation projects. He joined HENN in 2009 and became Partner in 2017.
Gunter Henn was born in Dresden in 1947 and studied architecture and structural engineering in Munich and Berlin. He is the chairman of HENN. He founded the office in Munich in 1979 and is the successor of the office of Walter Henn. Since 1994, Gunter Henn has been a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. Gunter Henn managed the chair in industrial construction and the Centre for Knowledge Architecture at the Technical University of Dresden.
Martin Henn studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at the ETH, Zurich. He received his Master’s Degree in Architecture from the ETH, Zurich in 2006, and his Post-Professional Master of Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, New York in 2008. Prior to HENN, he has been working for Zaha Hadid Architects in London and Asymptote Architecture in New York. Martin Henn is Managing Director and Head of Design at HENN.
Frank Hoffmeister completed his Social Education studies at Katholische Stiftungsfachhochschule für Sozialwesen in 1980, after which he worked at various international enterprises where he held leading positions in sales, software-marketing and human resources. Frank Hoffmeister is Managing Dircetor at HENN and in charge of Corporate Services.
Matthias Lassen graduated in 1994 from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. He worked at Murphy/Jahn (Chicago/USA), Sauerbruch Hutton (Berlin), nps (Berlin/Moskau) and Windstone (GCC countries). He is with HENN since 2011 and was made Partner in Beijing office in 2015.
Paul Lawrence studied Quantity Surveying at Portsmouth Polytechnic, England, and completed his bachelor's degree with commendation in 1975. After working in quantity surveying practices in London, Frankfurt, Munich and Auckland, New Zealand, as well as a general contractor in Villingen-Schwenningen, Paul Lawrence joined HENN in 1988. He was made Partner in 2008.
Axel Mathony is Partner at HENN and managed important projects for automotive as well as research and development in Canada, the USA, China, Vietnam and UAE. He studied architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern.
Georg Pichler studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich in 1988. Prior to joining HENN in 1993, he worked in the office of Prof. Dr. Theodor Hugues in Munich. Georg Pichler was made Partner in 2011.
Klaus Ransmayr studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna and received his Master of Advanced Architectural Design Degree at Columbia University in New York in 2005. He worked at Coop Himmelb(l)au in Vienna as well as at Asymptote Architecture in New York City. Klaus Ransmayr is Partner since 2017 and Design Director at Henn Berlin where he is managing the Design Studio.
Stefan Sinning studied architecture at the Technical University (TU) in Munich and graduated in 1992. Prior to joining HENN in 2002, he worked for TU Munich, Foster + Partners in London and Herzog + Partner in Munich. Stefan Sinning was made Partner in 2008 and Managing Director in 2017. He is responsible for Engineering at HENN.
Werner Sonnleitner studied business administration at the University of Regensburg and received his diploma in 1991. Since 1996 he has been working for HENN. His responsibilities include the commercial project management, contract management as well as the finances and accounting for all national and international projects. Werner Sonnleitner was made Partner in 2013.
After studying architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Nürnberg. Berthold Staber worked at architecture offices of von Gerkan, Marg und Partner, Foster + Partners and Bothe, Richter, Teherani. He joined HENN in 2007 and became Partner in 2017.
Wei Sun graduated from the Technical University of Dresden in 2008. He has been employed with HENN ever since, initially in the company's Munich office, and since 2009 in China. From 2014, Wei Sun is Partner for China in the HENN Beijing office.
Karsten Vollmer studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University, graduating in 1999. He worked with Foster + Partners for 17 years, at their London headquarters as well as in Malaysia and California, before joining HENN as a Partner in 2018.
Fredrik Werner studied architecture at Innsbruck Technical University and Munich Technical University where he gratuated in 2003. After working for Auer und Weber (Munich) and Sandell Sandberg (Stockholm) Fredrik Werner joined HENN in 2003. He is Design Director of the Design studio in Munich and Partner since 2017.
Wolfgang Wrba studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and graduated in 1988. Afterwards, Wolfgang Wrba worked in the office of Prof. Kaup, Scholz+Partner in Munich and joined HENN in 1989. He was made Partner in 2008 and Head of Construction Management.
