Scope

Programming is a visual communications tool which can be used to structure the dialogue between client and architect and develop the context of the commission.

Forms and spaces are no mere objective, they are developed from the processes, demands and cultural contexts of each project in architectural design.

Interior design correlates with architectural design but is an independent design task.

The relationships of buildings with each other, the interplay of architecture and public space, of access and mobility, of identity and society – all these form the themes of the preliminary design concept and the design aspects of urban design.

Quantity surveying includes the tendering of projects and the control of costs and progress. Construction management experts manage and organise construction sites all over the world.

Sustainability in architecture is not just defined as ecological building, it is also concerned with the whole life-cycle of the built form – with a building's or a city's careful use of resources right up the responsible disposal of material after building alterations or demolition. The development of appropriately adaptive, integral systems requires early consideration of ecological aspects in the conception and design process.

The necessary procedures for certification in accordance with LEED or DGNB standards are undertaken by qualified and authorised experts in the various offices.
